Inclement Weather Closings- Reminder:

St. Paul's Lutheran and Prince of Peace Presbyterian churches do not permit meetings when Anne Arundel County schools evening activites are cancelled due to bad weather.

To check whether activities are cancelled you can go to http://www.aacps.org or call 410-222-5000.

Group Email Contacts

An Email address, listed on the Contact Us page, is being established for each A.A. group in District 42.  The email address is shown as "pending" for groups that have not yet arranged to receive email.  Email is received by the group's GSR (General Service Representative) or other designated contact person to pass on information or answer inquiries.

You can now email these groups to send news and information to the group, to inquire about matters such as group activities, service positions, and group policies, to suggest topics for your home group conscience, etc.

District 42 Monthly Meeting, Gambrills (Crofton)- District 42 invites all A.A. members to attend the district meeting held at 7:00 PM on the second Tuesday of each month at: 

St. Paul's Lutheran Church

Gambrills, MD 21054

 Any A.A. member can come to the monthly meeting and see how the district's business is conducted and what issues are currently affecting the district and the A.A. groups it serves.

 Newcomer Packets

The district has begun assembling packets of information, available free of charge, to help groups welcome newcomers reaching out for help from A.A.  Each packet contains a copy of the pamphlet A Newcomer Asks, a back issue of the Grapevine magazine,  and a copy of the Annapolis Area Intergroup Meeting Directory ("Where & When").

To obtain packets for your group to give to newcomers you may email the District 42 District Committee Member (DCM) at dcm@mdaadistrict42.org or write to:

Your group's GSR can also pick up some packets at the next monthly District 42 meeting or contact the DCM to make arrangements.

Gapevine Back Issues Needed

You can help a newcomer by dontating your back issues of the Grapevine for the newcomer packets.  Give your back issues to your group's GSR or contact the District Committee Member (DCM) at:

You can have your upcoming home group events and activities such as meeting cancellations, group conscience or business meetings, picnics, dances, workshops, group anniversaries, etc. announced here.*  Just send an email with the details to the Webmaster webmaster@mdaadistrict42.org .  If you cannot send email you can write to:

Include any flyers that you would like to have posted.  Flyers should not include any personally identifiable information such as last names, personal telephone numbers, or personal mailing or email addresses. 


*This Website will follow the guidelines stated on the Area 29 Website : "No affiliation between this site and any outside enterprise will be permitted. Only events directly related to Area 29 and Maryland General Service, Inc., its Districts, A.A. World Services, Inc., and Northeast Regional A.A. activities will be considered for posting."  For the District 42 Website "Districts" includes District 42 and its A.A. Groups and, at their request, other Districts of Maryland General Service.  If your Group is outside District 42 please ask your DCM to submit your request.
